Gonna be away for a while, basically I heard my psu make a loud bang and a small cloud of smoke came out the back so its fucked. i know you can get cheap ones for like £20 but i dont even have that much to spare what with moving out next month.
i'll be on my ps3 for a while and will hopefully be back on pc before MW3, feel free to add me : HalfY-UK

Sry to hear that mate, never ever buy a cheap psu, that's exactly what will happen sooner rather than later, problem with cheap PSU's is they lack the protection that expensive PSU's have, cheaper ones normally take out other things in ur pc whereas a expensive or decent one wont. I would get this:
430w will be fine for any single graphics card setup, unless you have a GTX 590 or AMD 6990 in which case you want a 750w psu

tbh Im thinkin bout just getting a whole new rig once I have the money, when mw3 comes out I want it to run smoothly and the pc i got atm can only just about keep up with mw2 and black ops, its done me well for 5 years time to move on

No probs mate, if its that old it would be ideal to just get a new pc as you said.
